Requirements for Submitting DMV RecordsFor all positions requiring driving, Chesterfield County will obtain and review DMV records for candidates being considered for employment. A good driving record is required and must not reflect a total accumulation of six or more negative points within the past three years or a major violation within the past four years. If you currently possess an out of state driver’s license or have surrendered an out of state license within the past four years, you will be responsible for obtaining your driving records from your previous state of residency if contacted for an interview.
